Sequelae of lower limb trauma, cancer treatment, and stroke often pose complex clinical problems, and profoundly affect a patient’s mobility and quality of life. This masterclass provides the reconstructive surgeon with the necessary tools to alleviate the physical, emotional, social, and economical burden of impaired lower limb function.
During a two-day course, experts from the fields of reconstructive surgery, trauma surgery, and rehabilitation medicine will share their knowledge regarding management of lower limb trauma, osteomyelitis, chronic ulcers, and paralysis.
The practical sessions will be performed on fresh frozen cadavers with two participants per specimen, and will cover the essential techniques for soft tissue coverage.
